"Kudos to Kelli and Peter Bronski! I was impressed and, more importantly, genuinely entertained by Artisanal Gluten-Free Cooking. Peppered with great information throughout - from world food trivia to essential kitchen advice - this cookbook reads as if an old friend is talking you through a cherished family recipe over the phone. Filled with intuitive, straightforward, and delicious dishes, the recipes will empower any passionate cook to create seasonal, healthy, and 'from-scratch' dishes with an added bonus of avoiding gluten. This is a must-buy for anyone who hosts frequently and certainly a no-brainer for those following a gluten-free diet."

"Like no other gluten-free cookbook, Pete and Kelli's Artisanal Gluten-Free Cooking touches on the essential elements of why food, culinary culture, and family traditions are so important. What we eat is part of who we are. When a diagnosis of celiac disease or gluten sensitivity forces us to eliminate a key ingredient, preparing our favorite meals can become difficult and frustrating. This book reminds us that all we need are fresh, wholesome ingredients and a little creative guidance. Thank you, Pete and Kelli, for providing that guidance. The principles of good cooking, complete with mouth-watering recipes, are woven throughout the pages of this book. Oh, and they just happen to be deliciously gluten-free!"

Gluten Free for Good
"Kelli and Peter Bronski have made more than an amazing gluten-free cookbook. They've made an amazing cookbook all the way around, gluten-free or not. This cookbook is about more than great gluten-free food. It's about great food, period."

"Artisanal Gluten-Free Cooking is a true delight. It's filled with uncomplicated recipes you'll want to make - whether you eat gluten-free or not. But, my favorite aspect is that the authors share their history with each dish...like homemade French fries using mom's method; a unique scallop dish first tasted when dining out, now improved and shared annually with college friends; or a lemon syrup-infused poppy seed bread inspired by a vender from the local farmer's market. We all have those histories, don't we? Great food is about so much more than the food itself. You'll want this cookbook on your kitchen shelf, so you can create your own memories with these dishes."

"Your cookbook just arrived, and I want you to know that of the many cookbooks that I have received to add to our support group library, yours is the first one that I sat down with and went through, cover to cover. That is partly because I found the format and the presentation so appealing, and also because the recipes just sounded so darn good. Of course I too love cilantro and garlic and many of the other ingredients that you use in your recipes, and I appreciate that you don’t incorporate too many exotic ingredients for one to go out and purchase, in order to duplicate the dish. Anyway, I think you have a winner on your hands, and thank you for donating a copy to the San Diego Celiac Support Group."

"A whole book of doable, mostly simply recipes that anyone can cook... They have all kinds of familiar foods in there that I always want to make but am wanting for a good recipe... I decided to try the Fruit Tart with the Sweet Pastry Dough... Here's what I have to say: 1) the recipe is so easy to follow, 2) it's completely delicious... You can make all kinds of goodies with this quite extraordinary cookbook... This book would be great for anyone, but especially for a newly diagnosed celiac who may be struggling with menu ideas and how to make them on their own. Trust me, you won't be disappointed in this cookbook. It's worth having on your shelf just for the pastry dough recipe."

“Your cookbook arrived yesterday and I must tell you, IT IS GREAT! I love to cook and I have over 100 cookbooks, and probably 20 some gluten free cookbooks, but yours is the best! I'm impressed with the variety of everyday foods with fresh ingredients and the pictures - beautiful!”

“In this outstanding volume of 250 recipes, the duo shares tips, tricks and favorite dishes. Once readers have mixed up the six-ingredient Artisan Gluten-Free Flour Mix and purchased a handful of key ingredients (wheat-free soy sauce, gluten-free vanilla extract, etc.), they’ll be off and running with worry-free Garlic Naan, Crepes, pies, pasta, and ice cream. While recipes are uniformly excellent, Asian dishes like Coconut Red Curry Stir-Fry and Chicken Pad Thai are particularly toothsome, and should be a real treat for those avoiding soy sauce (in which wheat is a common ingredient). Gluten dodgers will also be pleased with the Bronskis’ handful of pizza recipes, including thin crust, New York and Chicago-Style Deep Dish versions. The duo seem to have thought of every craving and indulgence, serving up creme brulee and cocktails, too; it’s also worth noting that plenty of recipes don’t call for special ingredients at all (pork tamales, Porcini-Encrusted Scallops, Garlic-Lime Skirt Steak with Cuban Mojo, etc.). This volume’s impressive breadth and straightforward instructions make it an essential, horizon-broadening tool for those off gluten.”

“Artisanal Gluten-Free Cooking by Kelli Bronski and Peter Bronski focuses on simple, from-scratch home cooking. Along with loads of easy-to-follow, family-friendly recipes, the Bronskis also developed a gluten-free flour blend that truly tastes delicious (I can vouch for the apple pie!). In addition to the great recipes, a guide to navigating the supermarket, product recommendations and gluten-free resources make this book a useful and informative addition to your cooking arsenal.”

“[AGFC]...is one of the most beautiful cookbooks I’ve seen in a while. Right off the bat, as you start reading about how Peter learned that there is an emotional attachment to food that one might not realize before going gluten-free, you will connect with his and Kelli’s journey... Another thing that makes the book so great is the fact that it isn’t overloaded with gluten-free replacement recipes. Don’t worry – there are plenty of great selections in every category, but there is more to this cookbook than what one might expect. In addition to the things you’d expect to find like recipes for breads and desserts, there are also recipes for sides, soups and salads, appetizers, entrees and even drinks. There are not just a few offerings in those categories but many in each of them… If you’re amibitious enough to want to make your own homemade corn tortillas, there is a recipe for those, which actually doesn’t look that difficult. There are dishes that represent many different cuisines including Coconut Red Curry Stir-Fry, Sushi Rolls, and Gnocchi. Basics like Seared Scallops, Homemade French Fries, and Wild Rice are also included. The dessert and bread recipes will have your mouth watering in no time... If you’ve been wanting to make your own gluten-free ravioli, the [AGFC] cookbook has you covered. Whether you’re a deep dish pizza lover or prefer a super thin crust – you’ll find recipe options for both in this great cookbook. Though many of us roll our eyes at well meaning friends when they ask if we can just order a salad wherever they want to eat, this book actually has amazing salad recipes that you’ll want to make and eat! Kelli and Peter have done themselves proud with this lovely book.”

“The edges were crunchy, the dough had a bit of chew to it and it didn't fall apart!!! Gluten eaters went back for seconds and one even said ‘if you didn't tell me, I wouldn't have known it was gluten free.’”

“I really liked their pizza recipe.”
- Think Outside the Breadbox: Learning to Live Wheat Free in a Whole Wheat World
“This book surprised me; it isn’t huge like 1000 Gluten-Free Recipes [by Carol Fenster] but it more than makes up for that with the quality of the recipes. They have their own take on [a flour blend] and it works quite well. So far my favorite recipe is the gluten free waffles. YUM. This book has a great variety of delicious sounding recipes which I am anxious to try, from General Chang’s Chicken to Meat Lover’s Lasagna to Meatloaf, and in the dessert department comes Molasses Cookies, Angel Food Cake and Dessert Crepes. In the bread section there are the basic bread and pizza dough recipes along with Garlic Naan and my beloved Waffle recipe. Some recipes that don’t seem as common are in this book, such a Pigs in a Blanket, Tostones, and Sauerkraut. While this may not be the largest book on the market it is well worth owning for your gluten free cooking.”
- What the Food
“This morning I made Belgian Waffles and Cinnamon Rolls. Well, the results were FANTASTIC!!! These 2 recipes alone I give a THUMBS UP to buy and enjoy this cookbook. The Belgian waffles were fluffy and the added vanilla gave them a great taste. To tell the truth, I would not have known they were gluten-free. And that to me means YAHOO! The recipes were easy to follow and I easily had all the ingredients on hand. The cinnamon buns…don’t you just want one right now? I really went all out and made a cream cheese icing and topped the cinnamon buns with that. YUM!!! Again, the results were magnificent.”
